Frequently Asked Questions about becoming a customer
Do you have a minimum order size?
No. We don’t have a minimum order size but we do have minimum
shipping charges. All orders are wholesale only.
Do you do custom labeling?
At this time, we don’t offer custom labeling. Instead, we
encourage customers to pack and label their teas in house. This
helps create a unique product and keeps margins high! If you have
any questions about packing your own tea, please give us a call.
Can I get shipping terms?
First orders are processed by Credit Card only. Subsequent orders
may be shipped on terms by filling in a credit application and
submitting it for approval.
Do you make sales calls?
Unfortunately, due to the global nature of our business, we don’t
offer sales calls in person. That said, we travel extensively to
national and regional trade shows and maintain a highly knowledgeable
in-house staff that can help with any questions or concerns.
How do I order online?
Once you are a Metropolitan Tea customer, ordering online couldn’t
be easier. Simply log-in to our exclusive customers-only site,
keep your catalogue handy for visual reference and place your order.
Simple!
When I call, do I have to speak to a specific
salesperson?
No. We’re very proud of the quality and extensive knowledge
of each and every one of our salespeople. When you call Metropolitan
Tea, you can rest assured that whomever you speak to will steer
you in the right direction – with a smile!
How much do you stock if I want to make
a large order?
We do our best to ensure large quantities of each of our listed
products. If your order is very large, a pre-negotiated lead-time
may be required.
Do you have a showroom?
Our Toronto office is in the process of assembling a show room
for our regional customers. The best way to view our complete
line of products is by stopping by our booth at one of our numerous
trade shows.
Can I buy retail from you?
Unfortunately, our business is wholesale only. However, we’d
be happy to direct you to a retailer in your area.
Do you have any promos? Can I get anything
for free?
In general, we don’t have any promos or give anything away
for free. We do have some excellent deals on our tea merchandiser
units. All of our merchandisers include complimentary boxes of
tea.
What Credit Cards can I use to pay for
my order?
First orders can be paid by MasterCard, VISA or American Express.
Can I pay with debit?
Currently, only our Toronto office offers payment by debit. If
you live in Toronto or the surrounding area, you can pay by debit
when picking up your order.
Can I place my first order online?
We like to develop personal relationships with our customers! As
such, first orders may only be placed over the phone, or by visiting
us at a trade show. We’d love to get to know you!
Are orders shipped from within the US?
Yes. American orders are shipped from Buffalo NY.
Do you make drop shipments?
Metropolitan Tea does not make drop shipments.
